树 才：一棵树（中英双语）

这是秋天的一棵杨树—— 

一些叶子落了，另一些 

还挂在枝上。看树的人 

明白：树叶将会落光 

树叶自己也知道。死 

活活包含在生中：芽苞 

就是这个意思。落叶会 

腐烂，重新回到树上 

秋天有无数这样的树—— 

叶落，树干长得更粗了 

枝条抓住了更多空间 

更多的天光洒落到地面

A Tree

a poplar tree in autumn –

a few leaves fallen, a few

still hanging on the bough. An observer

knows that all the leaves will fall

The leaves themselves know too. Death’s

a living part of life, part of the meaning

of a bud. Fallen leaves will

rot and turn back into tree.

There are countless trees like this in autumn –

leaves falling, the trunks growing stronger

branches creating extra space

more sunlight bathing the ground
